Qatar Airways is always dedicated to catering to our customers with special needs. We request that you contact us and advise us of your specific needs at the time of booking in order to serve you better. If you have been asked to fill in a Medical Information Form (MEDIF), then this has to be submitted no less than 48 hours before flight departure*. You can make certain requests as well, such as wheelchair assistance, stowage of assistive devices, specially prepared meals, seat selection or escort services for the visually impaired. You may be required to fill out a Medical Information Form (MEDIF) if you want to make some special assistance requests. For any specific query, please contact us anytime. Please advise us in advance to make the necessary arrangements if you need any assistance to escort you to/from the aircraft. You can also request special services by directly calling at Qatar Airways Phone Number, at least 48 hours prior to departure. 

Hearing-impaired passengers


Our crew will offer safety briefings and the necessary assistance during the flight onboard. The in-flight safety video displays the subtitle in English and Arabic.



Visually impaired passengers



Onboard, safety briefings and the necessary assistance during the flight are offered by our crew. For the benefit of customers with special needs, Braille Safety Cards are available onboard. The card is available in English and Arabic.

Expectant mothers


Your safety is always our priority and that of your unborn child. We recommend that all expectant mothers consult a doctor before booking their ticket and inquire about their fitness to fly the distance they intend to take to avoid unnecessary risks to you and your baby. Depending on the stage and circumstances of your pregnancy, you may be required to present certain medical forms before flying. For your own safety and the well-being of your child, we will not accept expectant mothers who are pregnant from their 36th week or beyond.

Medical certificates


Medical certificates must be written in English and include the following information:

·    Patient's name and date of birth
·    Estimated date of delivery
·    Proposed dates of air travel
·   A single or multiple pregnancies (complicated or uncomplicated) confirmations

·   ‘Fit to travel’ confirmation of the patient for the entire journey, including return (where applicable)

·    Contact details, date, and stamp of a qualified doctor
The medical the certificate must be dated within 10 days of the scheduled date of the passenger's initial departing flight and remains valid for the entire journey.
